The time has come

What a crazy couple weeks! While waiting for my call was a lot easier then I thought it would be, until it came down to that last few days, I am so glad it has finally come! I received my call on Thursday, I had to wait 8 hours to open it. Thank you to my wonderful sister and brother in law who took me fishing for the day to take my mind of the envelope that was waiting for me at home. What a blast it was to go. I haven't been in such a long time. I had the support of my wonderful family and friends there when I opened my call. But I'm sure you all don't care about the small details, so moving on....

I have been called to serve in the St. George Visitor Center! And I leave December 7th.
That only gives me 6 1/2 weeks to get everything ready! Oh my goodness! I am so excited to be able to get out and serve and to do the lords work. How grateful I am to have this opportunity to be called on a Mission. I just wanted to thank everyone that has given me the support and love through out this process. I have the best family and friends. I couldn't have asked for better! I wanted to also thank that one person that pushed me to follow my heart and knew better then I did what I truly wanted!

Called to Serve

Looking back at the past few years, I have come to understand why things have happened the way they did. I had a great plan of my own. I thought I Knew the direction I wanted to go. The lord however has a much better plan for me. I am learning to let him tell me what to do next and follow his guidance. He knows what is best for me and the best way to get there. Through a lot of prayers and studying I have decided to Serve a Mission. My papers will be done and sent into the first Presidency tomorrow! I will then have about a week and a half to wait to hear back. I am defiantly learning patience, and I'm sure this is just the beginning! So wish me luck and your fingers crossed that I am able to do this gracefully!

"Oh the places you will go."

As summer is coming to a close and Im having to start packing my bags and get back to reality, I have looked back at my summer here in Jackson. I was able to go White Water Rafting, hiking, the Jackson fair and witness my first pig wrestling extravaganza, and hopefully soon go Paragliding. :) I have met some pretty great people that have changed my life forever! That were put in my path for a reason. They may never know the impact they had on me, and the great example of trusting in the Lord that he knows what is best for us. He knows me better then I know myself. He can see the bigger picture. I have a hard time doing that. I have met people that have helped me to better understand why the church is so important in my life! I love this Gospel and cant imagine my life without it! I have troubles making decisions, I cant imagine doing it without the help of my Heavenly Father! Being out here has deepened my love for my family! I love them very much! Family means everything to me! They are my Rock. But because summer is ending soon I have to now figure out my next step to take. I still don't know what im getting my self into, but what ever it may be... Im excited/ terrified to see what the lord has in store for me. I hope everyone had a great summer! (picrues will come soon)

3 Blind Mice

ok I don't know what it is about this place. (Jackson) But in 1 week I have had spiders crawl up my leg, and in my hair. And mice running around my house! which it was not a pretty sight on the roof top hot tub for the poor guest that had to witness me jumping around and swinging my arms freaking out over a silly spider on me. But in my defence it was HUGE! Then today I was minding my business and out of the corner of my eye i see something move. Thinking since im past the point of to tired to see strait i didn't think anything of it. Then less then 5 minuets later I see i furry little mouse run across my bedroom flour and UNDER the door! I did not know they could do that! I remember as a kid that in our little white house that we had a problem with mice and they would get into our Chocolate chips that were on the top shelf! Or the time I stepped on a sticky trap with my socks on! haha But to get to the point I hate mice and spiders and all other creepy crawling things out there! Lets just hope the trap in my room doenst go off! and he will be caught while im gone to work! Goodnight to all and lets hope I don't wake up with one sleeping next to me!

Jackson Wy

I did it! I moved to Jackson Hole Wyoming. I looked at housing and different jobs that I thought I would love. But to completely understand, i need to go back about a month ago. My wonderful mom came down to Jackson for the day to scope out places for me to apply. We had some wonderful people that were so willing to help me with whatever it was I needed. I was able to fine some hotels and different spas around Jackson and Wilson (which is where I am). I was told by almost everyone that I needed to go online to apply for a job. So when I try and do that, I ran into a problem... I needed my license number... which I didn't have (and still don't). I went to 1 last sight that night and filled out what I could and hoped for the best. 6 days later I got a call at 8:30 in the morning By a lady of Teton Lodge. she wanted me to come into an interview! I couldn't believe it. I went screaming all they way upstairs to tell my mom. (I think she thought something was horribly wrong!) opps.... well anyways 2 weeks later I went in for my interview and chatted with her then performed a facial on her. Scary right? I think my hands have never shaken so much. Another 6 days later I was called back... they offered me the job! I was so shocked I asked her if she was sure! haha After reassuring me that indeed they wanted me, we talked about everything that was going down the next couple weeks. ( I didn't hear much i was way to excited!) But now I am officially moved into my new place just outside of Jackson and start my job at 9 am tomorrow at Teton Lodge. The feeling of being completely on my own has really started to sink in. I know how to get to the necessities: Grocery story, Kmart, the square and home, oh and my job. This will be a great adventure and I'm very excited to see what is in store for me in these coming months.
*sorry for such a long post.

The next step...

It's official I am done with school! 4 Months ago on January 10th I walked into Austin Kade Academy I was excited, nervous and scared. I didn't know anyone and I didn't know how I would do with this. I didn't know if I would even like it. I took a risk and it ended up being the best decision that I have made. I have met some really great people that have taught me more about "the big bad world" haha you all know what I mean. The instructors were great and I will forever be grateful to them for all that they have done for me to make this experience the best. So thank you to those that have been there for me through the tears, moments of venting and laughs. I will be visiting Jackson next week to see if I can start living me dream. yay!!! Im done!

Fish

This blog is my way of expressing my thoughts and impressions I have. I have started reading this book called "Fish". Here is some food for thought. Enjoy!

"In order to change the culture, I will need to take a personal risk with no assurance of success.

"The fact is that the risk of doing nothing is greater then the risk of acting."

"Most of us are uncomfortable of thinking of ourselves as artists... But each of us is an artist... With every choice, every day, you are creating a unique work of art. Something that only YOU can do... The reason we were born was to leave your own indelible mark on the world. This is your authenticity... Respect your creative urges... step out in faith... you will discover your choices are as authentic as you are. What is more, you will discover that your life is all it was meant to be: a joyous sonnet of thanksgiving.

"Sometimes just to keep on keeping on is an act of courage."

(my personal favorite) " You have within you, more resources of energy then have ever been tapped, more talent then has ever been exploited, more strength then has ever been tested. And more to give than you have ever given."

"I choose confidence, trust and faith.

I have listen to this like a billon times I love her.

Reading this book and cant help but to be excited for my future. I have 3 weeks left of school and ill be thrown out to the big bad world to make something of myself. I cant wait to see where this is going to take me. Happy Monday every one!
